“Carbon nanotubes used to make batteries from fabrics“
This extraordinary news from the BBC has caused me a triple joy. First, I am happy that it was my University that achieved this success. Secondly, because this is Mauro and Fabio's research group, two good friends with whom I play soccer at Stanford, and with whom I have shared lunches, on and off campus. And thirdly, I am happy for my new business Innovalley because having access to fabric-battery would enable us to incorporate a lot of technology in the next generation clothing that we are developing. It's just a starting point, but every day we move with more speed towards the future.

ps: maybe these two young researchers should move to a garage in Palo Alto, just as was done years ago by some folks named Hewlett and Packard ;))

Esta extraordinaria noticia de la BBC me ha provocado una triple alegría. En primer lugar me alegro por ser mi Universidad la que ha conseguido este éxito. En segundo lugar porque este es el grupo de investigación de Mauro y Fabio, dos buenos amigos con los que juego a “soccer” en Stanford y con los que he compartido almuerzos dentro y fuera del campus. Y en tercer lugar me alegro por mi nueva empresa Innovalley porque poder disponer de tejido-batería nos permitiría incorporar mucha tecnología en las prendas de ropa de nueva generación que estamos desarrollando. Es sólo un punto de partida pero cada día nos acercamos al futuro con más velocidad.
